How to save Water?

Ways to conserve Water

  1. Monitor your water bill for unusually high use. Your bill and water meter are tools that can help you discover leaks.
  2. Collect the water you use for rinsing fruits and vegetables, then reuse it to water houseplants.
  3. Shorten your shower by a minute or two to save 140 gallons of water per month.
  4. When washing dishes by hand, don't let the water run while rinsing. Fill one sink with wash water and the other with rinse water.
  5. Upgrade older toilets. Older toilets can use 3 gallons of clean water with every flush, while new toilets use as little as 1 gallon.
  6. Collect water from your roof/terrace to water your garden.
  7. Turn off faucets tightly after each use.
  8. Turn off the water while brushing your teeth.
  9. Drop your tissue in the trash instead of flushing it and save water every time.
